Welcome to the Pathways open-world beta. Before you begin, here's what you need to know:

ZERO PRIVACY: Everything you add to this beta is completely public.

SHARED WITH EVERYONE: All users can see all data from all other users.

PERMANENT RECORD: We cannot guarantee deletion of data you submit.

This means:

  • Every person you research becomes visible to other users

  • All connections and pathways you discover can be seen by anyone

  • Any notes, tags, or insights you add are shared with the entire beta community

  • Other users may build upon or reference your research

Think of this as a public research playground. Only add information you're comfortable sharing with strangers on the internet.

If you need privacy controls for your organization's research, contact us about our secure beta program instead.

Step 1: Install the Pathways browser extension

This extension captures website text so our AI can create connection tags from your research.

Setup:

  1. Download the .zip file below

  2. Open Chrome's Extension Manager

  3. Toggle on "Developer Mode"

  4. Click "Load unpacked" and select your unzipped folder

  5. Set a keyboard shortcut (we recommend Ctrl+S for quick captures)

Pro tip: With Ctrl+S mapped, you can hit Ctrl+A to select all page text, then Ctrl+S to capture it instantly.
